Tupac Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur, has reportedly passed away. Police reponded to an emergency call from Afeni Shakur's California home just before 10pm on Monday night (May 2) following reports of a cardiac arrest. The female patient was transported to hospital where she was declared dead at 10:28pm. She was 69. Afeni Shakur established and ran the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation after her son's death in September 1996. A former Black Panther, she defended herself in court in 1971 after being accused of conspiracy to bomb police stations, department stores, and other public places in New York City. The case lasted five months and resulted in Shakur being found not guilty. The Marin County Sheriff has confirmed that a coroner will investigate the death to establish a cause. Afeni long opposed the selling of her son’s memorabilia, and regularly looked to block the sale of merchandise and signed items. The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation was also responsible for the posthumous release of a lot of the rapper's music. One of Afeni's last tasks as controller of her son's estate was overseeing new biopic, All Eyez On Me. Filming on the project wrapped up last month (April). Demetrius Shipp Jr plays the lead role. Directed by Benny Boom, the film will chart Shakur’s life from his upbringing to his rise in hip hop and Hollywood. It will also touch on the icon’s connections to the Black Panther party and relationship with his mother

Tom Hiddlestone has again responded to rumours that he will be the next actor to play James Bond, arguing that he doesn't think Daniel Craig will step down from the role any time soon. Hiddlestone is among a select group of actor tipped to take on the role if and when Daniel Craig leaves the 007 franchise, alongside Idris Elba, Damian Lewis and Aidan Turner, who also could be in the running. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hiddleston said: "It is a national obsession to talk about who should be the next James Bond. Everyone has an opinion about it basically. My belief is that Daniel Craig will do many, many more. As far as I'm concerned, he is James Bond." The actor went on to compare the iconic role of 007 to that of his character Jonathan Pine in The Night Manager. "I actually think that there's a lot that divides them," Hiddleston said. "Bond is a trained killer with a 00 license to kill, and Pine is at the beginning of his relationship with the Secret Service. I think in Daniel Craig's incarnation, Bond has become much darker, more haunted by his responsibilities in a way. I think Pine has always had that." Press Daniel Craig has portrayed iconic fictional secret agent James Bond in four films since 2006, appearing inCasino Royale, 2008's Quantum of Solace, 2012's Skyfall and last year's Spectre. While promoting Spectre, Craig famously said he would rather "slash my wrists" than play 007 again. However, he later appeared to backtrack from this comment. However, director Sam Mendes admitted that while he felt Daniel Craig may have turned his back on the part, there is still a clear way back in for him if he chooses to continue.

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers from the second episode of the sixth season of Game Of Thrones. Actor Kit Harington has responded to fans after his Game Of Thrones character Jon Snow was brought back to life in the latest episode of the show. Snow appeared to have been killed off at the end of the last season of the HBO fantasy epic and Harington himself had gone on record as stating that the character would not return. However, the latest episode of the show saw Snow successfully resurrected by sorceress Melisandre. "I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," Harington told Entertainment Weekly after the second episode of season six aired on Sunday night (May 1). Scroll below to watch the full interview. Harington added: "I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, 'Fine, Jon Snow's dead.' But it seems like people had a, similar to the 'Red Wedding' episode [when several character were murdered], kind of grief about it. Which means something I'm doing — or the show is doing — is right." Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has spoken about his hometown football team Leicester City's unlikely Premier League success. Leicester were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in the club's history last night (May 2), having been handed odds of 5000-1 to do so at the start of the season. Kasabian will headline Leicester's King Power Stadium on May 28 to mark the club's historic feat, and now Pizzorno has penned an article for The Guardian reacting to Leicester's win. In the piece, Pizzorno claims that he predicted Leicester would have a successful season even when those around him did not: "When Claudio Ranieri was appointed as manager last summer I was buzzing. With my family being Italian, I was thinking: 'This was going to be incredible.' My prediction was that we could finish in the top 10 and we could win a cup. But everybody thought I was insane. I started getting texts from my pals – which I’ve saved – saying: 'What’s going on? What are they thinking?'" Having missed a lot of games in the past due to Kasabian's tour schedule, Pizzorno says this season he has "seen every kick". Despite his high hopes however, Pizzorno says that he was worried that "something mad will happen" to hinder the team's title pursuit. Press "The emotions at the games in the last few weeks have been incredible," Pizzorno adds. "Even if we get relegated and we’re in the conference in 10 years, I won’t care. We’ll always have [the title win]." Pizzorno says he is already planning a Champions League draw party for next season. "As soon as we find out who we’re playing it’s straight online to book tickets and flights." SEE MORE: "Everyone in Leicester is in a great mood": Kasabian's Serge Talks Leicester City Success And The Band's Homecoming Gig Speaking previously to NME about the band's upcoming hometown gig and Leceister City's footballing success, Pizzorno said they had to "move Heaven and Earth" to make the show happen. "We were all booked in, set to do it next year," he said. "We've been buzzing off that plan, and after the gig we did in 2014 in Leicester's Victoria Park, we were looking for the next step up. But as the season's gone on, there's a feeling around the city that's really special and we thought we should move Heaven and Earth to move the gigs forward a year. It's in the last two days that we've finally got the go ahead to do it. I think everyone in Leicester is in a great mood."
