By Steve Gorman LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Grammy-winning rapper Coolio was charged on Thursday with unlawful firearm possession stemming from a handgun that prosecutors said was found in his backpack during baggage screening at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) last month. The recording star, whose legal name is Artis Leon Ivey, 53, could be sentenced to as much as three years in state prison if convicted, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a statement. The rap artist was scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday for an arraignment, but the hearing was postponed until Oct. 26 after his lawyer told the judge that Coolio was out of state performing, District Attorney's spokesman Ricardo Santiago said.

‘Rocky Horror’ Music Producer Cisco Adler Talks Laverne Cox, Adam Lambert, Haters & Hardcore Fans
12 October, 2016 - Yahoo.com
Time is fleeting, indeed: It’s been 41 years since The Rocky Horror Picture Show made its first very fleeting appearance in movie theaters, and just a little less than that since it turned into a full-fledged cultural phenomenon via midnight revival screenings. Needless to say, most of those involved with Fox’s Oct. 20 TV-movie remake are too young to claim membership in the original cult — including music producer Cisco Adler, who, having been born in 1978, was wearing diapers when the original fans were putting on garter belts.
The 'Documentary Now!' Talking Heads Parody Is One Of The Best TV Episodes Of The Year
12 October, 2016 - Yahoo.com
Created by Saturday Night Live alums Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Seth Meyers, Documentary Now! is as specific as SNL is broad, burrowing deep into documentaries both classic and obscure to produce note-perfect parodies that only a fraction of the public will likely appreciate. For the uninitiated: Stop Making Sense depicts a highly stylized concert by New York new wave band Talking Heads filmed by director Jonathan Demme when the group was at the height of its popularity in the early ’80s. It is rightly known as the most kinetic concert film ever made, forgoing many of the established cliches that have bogged down similar movies (such as copious crowd shots) and inventing some new ones.

12 October, 2016 - Yahoo.com
The second night of The Voice Season 11 Battle Rounds brought some surprises and delights: a tag-team keyboard duet, the first sanctioned Pink Floyd cover in the series’ history, and some truly divine mentoring from guest advisor Bette Midler. Also, Miley’s beloved, famous deceased dog was name Floyd. Anyway, Cajun roots musician Lane and NYC burlesque hostess Sophia didn’t seem to have much in common at first — but, united by their love of rock ‘n’ roll (and by “I Love ‘N’ Roll” guest advisor Joan Jett) and Floyd’s “Money,” they formed a pretty awesome twosome.

After leaked hot mic footage of Donald Trump’s 2005 lewd commentary surfaced last Friday, the race has been on to uncover similar treasure troves. The hunt continues, including a crowdfunding effort that’s trying to woo Mark Cuban, and now the Huffington Post has acquired an old transcript — which they claim to have authenticated — of Trump talking smack during unaired moments of a 2005 episode of The Apprentice. During the boardroom session that decided which team did the better job transforming its artist, Trump turned the conversation sharply — and at times, uncomfortably — to West’s physical appearance, specifically her skin.
